New review

Still on tour. Check out the new review. Must.. rock.. Arlington!

Press and tour

There is some new press — check it out at my new press page.

I’m still on tour — you can read about it here.

Aurafice then, now Missoula

A lot has happened this week. Right now I’m in Missoula, but more on that later.. in the meantime: there are some more stations on the list now — I didn’t have time to put up all of them, but it looks like it’s going pretty well. I’m in the process of getting Iowa Anvil on Amazon — that should be ready in a few days if I keep hitting internet cafes on the road. I didn’t have time to get shirts up on the site, which is sad, but just as well. I need to order more of them in strategic sizes. The CD release/tour kickoff at Aurafice was amazingly wonderful. My friends are the best.

And now I’m in Missoula. I’m right now making the decision to put the tour stuff on a different page, as it’s going to get lengthy.

Radio, car

Here’s the radio list, as promised. I actually don’t know what’s in what kind of rotation where, as it turns out most college radio station websites are really, really awful. It’s like 1996. Really. It’s that bad.

In other news, I fear the people replacing my car’s clutch have destroyed my transmission, so I’ll probably be renting a car for the tour, which means that I’ve already lost a whole lot of money. The gods of Rock may be dark and vengeful, but it’s the gods of Dayjob that have a sense of humor.

Thanks plus radio stuff

This week has been busy. Thanks to everyone who came to the show on Friday — it was great and a lot of fun — and to the band for playing. Also thanks to Andrea Maxand for getting me on the bill.

In other news, the details are a bit confusing yet, but it looks like Iowa Anvil was a top 5 add at 14 college radio stations around the country this week, and has been added into rotation at a number of other stations. I’ll make a list when I know what to write down.

Radio adds

We’ve been going for adds this week, and so far I think I’m being played in at a station in Florida, one in North Carolina, and one in Duluth, Minnesota. The Duluth station’s playlist says otherwise, which is confusing. At any rate, they seem to like me in Alaska — check out the top 5 adds at KRUA.

Seattle Times mention

The graze was mentioned in the Seattle Times on the 4th, which is really neat. You can read it here.

I should point out that I’m no longer averse to spandex and makeup, so if any of you want to see some of that in the live set, you just, you know, just let me know.

Shirts!

Today I ordered t-shirts and stickers, which should be ready in time for the the graze/Andrea Maxand/Jodie Hates the World show on the 16th. The design looks like this, pretty much exactly for the stickers, tan-on-brown and white-on-olive for the shirts.

the graze @ kexp

I played on Seattle’s KEXP 90.3 FM last Saturday (the 19th). You can check it out for up to two weeks after the fact here — the date to select is 6/19/04, and the hour was 8:00pm.

About last night..

Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night at Chop Suey. By all measures, it was a complete and fantastic success, and probably the most fun show I ever played. Even with the heckler, which turned out to be one of the guys from Dorkweed (I’m looking at you, Forrest).
